Most recently, President of Yadava Hakkula Porata Samiti Ramulu Yadav insisted that the line ‘Golla Bhama vacchi naa goru gilluthunte (Yadav girl pinching my toe, is the literal meaning of the line) from the song ‘Rangamma Mangamma’ be removed with immediate effect, if not they would not allow screening of the film. He also said that this word demeans Yadava community.
Director of ‘Rangasthalam’ Sukumar has arranged a press meet and clarified that the word ‘Gollabhama’ refers to an insect and this word was not intended to refer Yadava community at all. Sukumar specified that people from rural society are well aware of what ‘gollabhama’ is. Hope this clarification by Sukumar slays the controversy and aides in a hassle-free release of ‘Rangasthalam’.
